Overview

A side in Euclidean geometry is a line segment that connects two vertices of a shape. In shapes, sides are always connected. The number of sides on a shape depends on the number of angles because the number of angles is the number of sides. "Side" is also be used as a general term in three-dimensional geometry where side refers to a face of an object.
