Solution 1

Vieta's formulas states that the sum of the roots of a cubic is $\frac{-b}{a}$ , where $b$ is the quadratic coefficient and $a$ is the leading coefficient. In this case, the value of $b$ is 0 and the value of $a$ is 1. Plugging these in, we find that the desired answer is $\boxed{0}$
